Homeopathy was developed in 1700s by Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor and physicist. After extensive experimentation and studies, Hahnemann formulated the 3 main principles of homeopathy:
- Like cures like; the Law of Similars
- A substance becomes more potent if it is more diluted; the law of the Infinitesimal Dose or Potentization
- Every sickness is specific to a patient, which indicates that different patients having similar symptoms may have different treatments
