About the Programme
Growing older doesn’t mean giving up your independence. At RxDx Physiotherapy, our geriatric rehabilitation programs are designed to help older adults stay active, confident, and safe in their daily lives. Whether you’re experiencing joint pain, muscle weakness, poor balance, reduced mobility, or recovering from surgery, our physiotherapists create personalized treatment plans that focus on improving strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and overall functional independence.
Age-related conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, balance disorders, and an increased risk of falls can significantly affect quality of life. Through evidence-based exercise therapy, gait and balance training, fall prevention strategies, pain management, mobility exercises, and home safety education, we help seniors move with greater confidence while reducing the risk of injuries and hospitalizations. Every program is tailored to your health status, goals, and comfort level, ensuring safe and progressive recovery.
Our goal is not just to treat pain but to help you continue doing the things you love, whether it’s walking independently, climbing stairs, gardening, traveling, or simply enjoying time with your family. With expert guidance, compassionate care, and consistent support, we empower older adults to maintain their mobility, preserve their independence, and enjoy a healthier, more active life at every age.

Active Ageing Is Not Optional.
It Is Essential.
Movement is medicine — especially after 50. The right exercises, done safely, can transform quality of life, preserve independence, and prevent disability.

Bones Get Stronger With Use
Weight-bearing exercises stimulate bone formation, helping counter osteoporosis and reduce fracture risk by up to 30%.

Balance Saves Lives

Walking Ability = Independence
Strength and gait training preserve your ability to move freely — from climbing stairs to keeping up with grandchildren.

Joints Stay Healthier With Movement
For osteoarthritis, gentle movement reduces stiffness, improves joint nutrition, and eases pain better than rest alone.

Exercise Boosts Brain Health
Regular physical activity improves mood, reduces anxiety, and is associated with better cognitive function in older adults.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can seniors do these exercises every day?
Is exercise safe if I have osteoporosis?
Absolutely. Safe, weight-bearing exercise is one of the best things you can do for osteoporosis. The key is avoiding high-impact or spinal flexion exercises. Our Bone Strong programme is specifically designed to be safe and effective for people with osteoporosis. Always consult your physiotherapist before starting.
Can osteoarthritis improve with exercise?
How often should balance training be done?
Balance training is most effective when done daily or at least 5 times per week. Our 10-minute daily balance routine is designed to fit easily into your morning or evening schedule. Consistency over intensity is what matters most.
Do I need any equipment for these exercises?
Most exercises require nothing more than a sturdy chair and a wall for support. A few exercises may use light hand weights or resistance bands, but these are optional. SilverStride is intentionally designed to be practised at home without expensive equipment.
Is it normal to feel sore after starting?
How quickly will I see results?
Can family members join the exercise sessions?
What if I have multiple conditions — say both osteoporosis and arthritis?
Is this programme available for community groups or apartment buildings?
