Dr Tarun completed his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at JIPMER, Puducherry, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for academic excellence. He went on to pursue MCh in Urology at AIIMS, New Delhi, followed by advanced fellowship training in Renal Transplantation Surgery at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. This rigorous training has equipped him with deep expertise across the full spectrum of urological care.
As a practising Urologist in Malleshwaram, Dr Tarun provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for urological disorders, kidney diseases, prostate conditions, urinary stone disease, and male urological problems. He has special clinical expertise in renal transplantation, having performed and supervised over 150 renal transplant surgeries, including both recipient surgeries and laparoscopic donor nephrectomies.
Dr Tarun is highly skilled in endourology, laparoscopic urology, and robotic-assisted urological surgeries. His procedural expertise includes PCNL, RIRS, URS, TURP, laser prostate surgery, reconstructive urology procedures, and complex uro-oncology surgeries. He also manages andrology and male infertility conditions, providing holistic care for men’s health issues.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Tarun has a distinguished academic career and currently serves in a senior leadership role as Professor and Head of the Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation. He has authored numerous research publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals and is a regular faculty member at academic conferences and surgical workshops.
