The duration of family counseling sessions depends on the range and depth of emotional and mental problems of the involved couples or family members. Generally, this is not a lengthy approach. The most important thing is to apply new psychological strategies in the counseling sessions.
In family counseling, if the problems are related to the children or teenagers, then they are required to take counseling along with parents or other members of that family involved to the problems. In the cases regarding couple disharmony, it is advised for both member to attain the counseling session. However, only one member can also take counseling, if the other denies coming.
