Dr Poonam completed her MBBS and internship at the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by a DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She later pursued her Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine (FRM) under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, where she gained hands-on experience in IVF, ICSI, ovulation induction, fertility evaluation and endometrial preparation protocols for embryo transfer. Her academic journey includes two major research projects focused on postpartum contraception and frozen embryo transfer, reflecting her commitment to data-driven, patient-centric care.
Over the years, Dr Poonam has worked as an OBGYN Registrar, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, and Fertility Consultant across reputed healthcare centres. Her clinical exposure has helped her manage a wide range of cases—from normal and high-risk pregnancies to infertility, menstrual disorders, PCOS, endometriosis, menopausal concerns and gynaecological infections. She is also skilled in performing routine and emergency obstetric procedures, diagnostic evaluations and fertility-related interventions.
Dr Poonam actively updates her knowledge by participating in national and regional conferences and workshops on OBGYN, infertility, gynaecological oncology, contraception and reproductive medicine. Her academic engagement has earned her recognition, including winning the 2nd prize in the South ISAR infertility quiz (2024). She believes in blending clinical expertise with clear communication, ensuring that every patient understands their condition and treatment options.
